Work Packages
To facilitate the implementation of the project, the activities have been organized in different Working Parties (WP), assigning their coordination to a partner, which ensures an equitable distribution:
WP1 - COORDINATION AND MANAGEMENT
will guarantee that the project is well-organized, communicated, and coordinated both within the partnership and with the funding authorities.
WP2 - DISSEMINATION AND COMMUNICATION
Seeks to develop a strategy and tools for the project’s dissemination, as well as its long-term sustainability and exploitation at the regional, national, and EU levels.
WP3 - SMART ADVICE ON CIRCULAR ECONOMY BUSINESS MODELS FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT
For smart advice on circular economy business models, new skills, competences and approaches such as circular thinking need to be developed. It is necessary to adapt and redefine the qualifications of rural development professionals so that they are able to respond to the new needs demanded by entrepreneurs. It is necessary to demand a new professional profile focused on intelligent
advice that seeks to contribute to generate changes in the way of thinking in order to facilitate the transition to a circular economy in a rural context, and not just the simple transfer of knowledge acquired in ordinary entrepreneurship to entrepreneurship in the innovative rural environment.
WP4 - CAPACITY BUILDING FOR SMART ADVICE ON NEW CIRCULAR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN RURAL EUROPE
Τhe activities that are to be carried out are the following: a) Development of mechanisms and methodologies for smart advice on new sustainable business opportunities in rural areas, b) comparative analysis of success factors for the elaboration of a viability evaluation test of Circular Economy (CE) rural projects (for example, successful business initiatives, training resources & ICT advice tools) and finally c) development of a toolbox for smart specialization on new sustainable business opportunities in rural areas, adapted to the Green, Circular and Blue Economy and accessible to people with functional diversity and/ or vulnerable groups
WP5: KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER FOR THE NEW EUROPEAN RURALITIES
A transnational network for the promotion and development of the rural environment in the European Union through the Circular Economy will be created/Design of Circular.Rur Lab (open digital platform of intelligent specialization for consulting on CE initiatives, dedicated to training, accompanying and exploring, reflecting on and disseminating knowledge and experiences related to this topic)/ Pilot training sessions with SMEs, entrepreneurship support associations, local administrations and VET centers.
